Elaine Streets

Elaine Helen Streets, 88, of Keyser and formerly of Elk Garden, WV, died on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at the home of her son, David and his wife, Julia, in Elk Garden. Born on September 8, 1928 in Beaver Falls, PA, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Frances (Tomaino) Spano. She was a graduate of Keyser High School as well as King's Daughters Hospital Nursing School. Elaine was a registered nurse having worked as a charge nurse at Potomac Valley Hospital. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Oakland, MD. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed crocheting and reading. She is survived by five children, Albert Streets and wife Cheryl of Grantsville, MD, Francy Lyons and husband Sam of Keyser, David Streets and wife Julia of Elk Garden, Daniel Streets and wife Sherry of Elk Garden and Rosemary Streets Moreland of Oakland, MD; grandchildren, Samantha Stickley and husband Andrew, James Lyons and wife Kayla, Aaron Streets and wife Brittany, Robert Streets and girlfriend Corrie, Julie Streets and Evan Streets; 3 great grandchildren, Olivia, Aubrey and Owen, and two on the way; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alston Leo Streets; a brother, Louis Spano; and sisters, Rose Athey, Jane House and Mary Dominik. Friends will be received at the C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller, MD on Monday, February 27th from 4 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Peter the Apostle Church, 208 S 4th St., Oakland on Tuesday, February 28th at 10 AM with Fr. Doug Kenney as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Hartmansville Cemetery, WV.
