Eileen Maxine Custer, 87, of Swanton died on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Cherry Hill Assisted Living in Accident. Born on August 15, 1933, in Swanton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur G. and Mildred (Riley) Fitzwater. Eileen enjoyed caring for her family and working on the farm and spent countless hours crocheting. She is survived by four sons, David Custer of Grantsville, Ralph Custer of Boise, ID, Glen Custer and Melvin Custer, Jr., both of Swanton; a daughter, Norma Sisler of Oakland; grandchildren, Jason, Eric, Amber, Michael, Brandon and Amy Custer, Cameron and Nathan Sisler, and Melanie and Megan Custer; eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Ada VanHorn; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Melvin R. Custer, Sr.; brothers and sisters, Douglas Riley, James Fitzwater, Arthur Fitzwater, Jr., and Helen Friend. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, December 17, 2020, from 10 to 11 AM at which time funeral service will be held with Pastor Tom Matthews officiating. Interment will be in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
