Edith Gaither

Edith Sylvania Gaither, 81 of Bayard, WV died Friday May 27, 2011 at Shady Grove Hospital in Rockville, MD.
Born January 23, 1930 in Bayard, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Elsie (Turner) Cosner. She was the wife of the late Edwin B. Gaither.
Mrs. Gaither had been the Cafeteria Manager of Proudfoot's Allegany Room.
Surviving are three sons, Dan Gaither and wife Debbie of Oakland, Doug Gaither & Scott of Gaithersburg, Rick Gaither & wife Carolyn of Gormania, WV; one daughter Sue Evans of Petersburg, WV; two sisters Alice Gaither and Rosealie Johnson; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and one deceased great grandson, Nick.
The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland, MD on Monday May 30, 2011 from 2 - 9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the Bayard Methodist Church with pastors Rev. William McCallister and John Wolf officiating. Interment will follow in Bayard Cemetery.
