Earl Delano Foster, 75, of Oakland died on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital. Born on January 18, 1938 in Dry Fork, WV, he was the son of the late Rev. Early and Texie (Carr) Foster. He was a veteran of the United States Army and had retired from the Garrett County Roads Department and Keystone Paving. He is survived by two brothers, Rev. Billy Foster and wife Violet of Oakland and Jessie Marvin Foster, Sr. and wife Chris of Rising Sun; a sister, Janet Wilt and husband Bud of Oakland; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, infant Archie Benjamin, George and John Foster; and two sisters, Mildred White and Geraldine Harvey. A memorial service, including military honors, will be held in the old Loch Lynn Church of God on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 10 AM with Rev. Dr. Frank Harvey and Rev. Barbara Rexroad officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Earl's memory to the Activities Department of Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 706 E. Alder St., Oakland, MD 21550.
