Dorothy "Eileen" Critcher

Dorothy “Eileen” (Anderson) Critcher, age 91, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at her home where she resided with her sister, Nancy and brother-in-law, Mike in Kitzmiller.  Born on March 31, 1929 in Shallmar, MD, she was the daughter of the late Wylie and Velma (Hipp) Anderson, Sr.

Eileen was a career minded individual and continued her education in many fields throughout her adulthood.  For the majority of her life, she was involved with hotel and restaurant management.  Eileen volunteered with different organizations and attended Blaine Full Gospel Church.  She took great pleasure extending a helping hand to others in need.  Eileen was a very fashionable lady who enjoyed dancing, landscaping and most of all, she loved seeing and being around babies.

Eileen is survived by two sons, Roger McCauley and wife Patricia of Front Royal, VA, Ed McCauley and wife Janet of Kitzmiller; grandson, Adam McCauley and wife Missy of Woodstock, VA; seven sisters, Bernadine Dedmon and Janet Dye of Darien, GA, Shirley Anderson, Helen Crouse, Thelma Lacy, Barbara Welch and husband Roger, Nancy Brady and husband Mike, all of Kitzmiller; two brothers, Harold “Bob” Anderson and wife Sharon of Kitzmiller, Ron Anderson and wife Betty of Elk Garden; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Critcher; a son, Bill McCauley; four brothers, Alvin “Andy” Anderson, Harry “Pijoe” Anderson, Allen Eugene Anderson, Wylie Anderson, Jr.; one sister, Phyllis Flanagan.

In accordance with Eileen’s wishes, she will be cremated and no services are planned at this time.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Garrett County or to Blaine Full Gospel Church.
