Dorothy Lohr

Dorothy Elizabeth (Tasker) Lohr "Timmie", 76, was called home on December 25, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born on May 29, 1937 in Oakland, she was the daughter of the late James Mahlon and Ethel Savillah (Tusing) Tasker. She had been a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Oakland and had attended both the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Swanton and the Solid Rock Baptist Church in Oakland. She is survived by her children, Kathy Lohr, Amy Lohr and William C. Lohr, Jr., all of Swanton; two sisters, Lucille Ludvigsen and Arlena Dilley of Oakland; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 39 years, William C. Lohr, Sr.; three brothers, Henry Tasker, Norman Shrout, and Carlton "Moose" Tasker; and five sisters, Mary Shrout, Ruth Twigg, Elsie Nair, Carrie Lohr and Baby Girl Shrout. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Sunday, December 29th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, December 30th at 11 AM with Rev. Donald Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Garrett County Rescue Squad, PO Box 378, Oakland, MD 21550.
