Dorothy Virginia "Dot" Droppleman, 90, of Elk Garden, WV died on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at her home, under the care of her family and Potomac Valley Hospice. Born on April 3, 1924 in Blaine, WV, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Milton and Anna Margaret (Noonan) Seaman. She was employed by the Mineral County schools as a cook at the Elk Garden School for many years. She was Catholic by faith and loved attending Immaculate Conception Church in Kitzmiller, MD. Dot also enjoyed caring for her flowers and plants. Being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie K. Droppleman of Elk Garden; two sons, James Droppleman and wife Patricia of Keyser and Richard Wayne Droppleman and special friend Brenda of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughters in law, Elaine Droppleman of Baltimore and Marian Droppleman of Elk Garden; grandchildren, Pamela Droppleman and Shari Crawford and husband Gerald, all of Baltimore, John Droppleman and wife Christine of New Creek, WV, James Droppleman and wife Tammie of Wahiawa, HI, Kristi Cassada and husband Edward of Oakland, Stephanie Chapman and husband Dennis of Mt. Storm, WV and Michael Droppleman and wife Jennifer of Elk Garden; and great grandchildren, Jessica Crawford, Kaitlin Droppleman, Jared Droppleman, Sydney Droppleman, Brody Droppleman, Riley Droppleman, Olivia Cassada, Patrick Paugh, Clarissa Chapman, Alexis Droppleman and Alena Droppleman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Bernard Droppleman, in 1984; a son, William Joseph Droppleman; a sister, Leona Seaman Flanagan Fadley; and brothers, Paul W. and William L. Seaman. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller on Thursday, March 12th from 6 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, March 13th at 11 AM with Father William K. Matheny, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden. Pallbearers will be John Droppleman, Michael Droppleman, Jared Droppleman, Patrick Paugh, Marshall Stewart and Louie Stewart.
