Donna Cosner

Donna Louise Cosner, 81, of Thomas, WV, passed away on January 27, 2025, at Garrett Regional Medical Center. Born in Parsons, on March 13, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Donald C. and Nina (Burns) Buchanan.

Donna was a graduate of Parsons High School. In her earlier years, she enjoyed camping and fishing with her family. Later in life, in her spare time, she enjoyed doing word search puzzles and playing bingo. She was a member of the FOE #936 women's auxiliary, the St. John's Methodist Church in Parsons, and the United Methodist Church in Thomas.

She is survived by two children, Ronald "Carbide" Cosner and Pamela S. Cosner; brother in laws, Richard Ponikvar, Steve Schrecongost, and Bill Metz; sister in laws, Shirley Ponikvar and Sharyn Cavanaugh; and a nephew, Harold Lee Buchanan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Cosner; a sister, Judith Ann Buchanan; a brother in law, Bill Cavanaugh; and sister in laws, Zennie Metz, Carol Roth and Roberta Schrecongost.

Friends will be received on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM, at the Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, 567 Thomas Ave., Davis. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Caitlin Ware officiating. Interment will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Thomas. The Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Cosner family at this time.
