Donald Varner

Donald W. Varner, 63, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Dry Fork, WV, departed this life on Friday, April 19, 2019 at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus.

Born on March 20, 1956 at Harman, WV, he was a son of the late Kelly and Bessie (Pennington) Varner. He also was preceded in death by a twin brother, Ron Varner and two sisters, Patty Brown and Louise Harper.

Mr. Varner was formerly employed at Canaan Valley Resort.

Surviving are four brothers, Delmas Evans and wife Darlene of Dry Fork, Jimmy Varner and wife Annetta of Harman, WV, Richard Varner and wife Pam of Elkins, WV, Bill Varner and wife Barb of Middlefield, OH; two sisters, Diane Mininger and husband Gary of Dry Fork and Arvella Godwin and husband Layne of Elkins; a sister-in-law, Connie Varner of Chardon, OH; a brother-in-law, Roger Harper of Jefferson, OH and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Dry Fork Assembly of God Church on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Wenger officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will be in the Daniel B. Harper Cemetery, Dry Fork.
