Donald Chapman, Sr.

Donald Lee Chapman, Sr., 58, of Oakland, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Garrett Regional Medical Center. Born on May 16, 1959 in Oakland, he was the son of the late Blondell M. and Alice J. (Simmons) Chapman. Donald attended Southern High School. “Duck” was a local truck driver all of his life and his last job was with Laid Back Trucking. In his spare time, Donald was known to tinker in his garage working on vehicles. He loved to go mudding on the 4-wheelers with his family, spend time with grandkids at amusement parks and fish. Donald is survived by his bride of 38 years, Betty (Teets) Chapman; three sons, Ronald Chapman and wife Tara, Donald Chapman, Jr. and wife Deanna, Eric Chapman and fiancée Destiny Kitzmiller, all of Oakland; grandchildren, Cheyenne Chapman, Hunter Chapman, Donald Chapman, III, Riley Chapman, Alayna Chapman, Kaylee Chapman, Gambel Reckert and Kadence Picket; siblings, Mick Chapman, Randy Chapman, Terry Chapman, Keith Chapman, Tim Chapman and Jannie Chapman. Friends will be received at the C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 21 N 2ndSt., Oakland on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 3-7 PM and again on Tuesday, May 8 from 10-11 AM at which time a funeral service will be held.
