Don Darvin Duckworth, 76 of Elk Garden, WV, died on July 31, 2012 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Born July 22, 1936 in Shaw, WV; he was the son of the late Fred & Ada Virginia (Wolfe) Duckworth. Don had been employed at Alleghany Mining Inc. for 18 A½ years. Don was a member of the Elk District Ambulance Service for many years and caretaker at the Nethken Hill Cemetery. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Cindy (Paugh) Duckworth; his children, Teresa Duckworth of New Creek, Billy Duckworth, Elk Garden and daughter Missy Nesselrodt and husband Shawn of Kitzmiller; one sister, Sue Cosner and husband, Richard of Elk Garden and four grandchildren, Josh and Justin Nesselrodt, Stephen Pritts and Shawn Miller. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller, MD Friday, August 3 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral services will at 11 a.m., Saturday at the Nethken Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev.
