Dolores Joyce Hayden, 89, of Mtn. Lake Park died on Monday, March 12, 2018, at the Dennett Road Manor. Born on December 8, 1928, in Crellin, she was the daughter of the late John Evans, Sr. and Minnie (Ellis) Evans. Dolores was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and had volunteered at the former Garrett County Memorial Hospital. She was an avid card player who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Tambra Ewing and husband Bill of Mtn. Lake Park and Cynthia Parsons of Frostburg; four grandsons, Christopher Ewing and wife Kristen, Ryan Ewing and wife Emily, Tyler Ewing and Mathew Parsons; great grandchildren, Sophie Ewing, Clara Ewing, Carter Ewing and Cooper Ewing; and a special niece Karlyn “Susie” Price; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Willard K. Hayden; a son in law, Don R. Parsons, Jr.; and siblings, Mona Lou Coberly, Sandra Bacon, Eloween Johnson, Deanie Teets, John “Jr.” Evans, Patty Evans, and Buddy Evans. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, March 15th from 4 to 7 PM. A funeral service will be held in St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 318 E. Oak St., Oakland on Friday, March 16th at 11 AM with Rev. Matthew Paugh officiating. Interment will be in the Rocky Gap Veteran’s Cemetery at later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
