Derrick Reed

Derrick Adam Reed, 28, of Parsons, died May 6, 2012, as a result of a drowning accident.

He was born Nov. 24, 1983, at Lincoln, Ill.   He is survived by his parents, John and Dawn Ann Hainline McVicker of Davis; his fiancee, Krissy Bell and her unborn baby; paternal grandmother, Ann McVicker of Thomas; two sisters, Nicole (Brian) Fortney and Melissa (Eric) Spencer, both of Elkins; nephews, Blayden Spencer and Collin Fortney; and nieces, McKenzie Lyons and Shylynn Spencer.
Derrick was employed as a plumber's apprentice. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching B flick videos. He was a member of the Mountain Top Hunt Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles 936.  At the request of the deceased, his remains were cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in memory of Derrick A. Reed, may be made to Grant County Bank, P.O. Box 517, Davis, WV 26250.
