Dennis Glen Riley, 79, of Oakland, passed away on June 21, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family. Born on November 12, 1944, in Oakland, he was the son of the late Audley Sr., and Ethelwyn (Otto) Riley.
Dennis attended Southern Garrett High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Consol Energy as a coal miner. Dennis was a member of White United Methodist Church, the Gorman Volunteer Fire Dept., Southern Garrett Rescue Squad, UMWA, and the Proctor Kildow American Legion Post 71; where he spent countless hours donating his time for military honors for funerals. Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, visiting neighbors, and proudly serving his community. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wanda (Glotfelty) Riley, to whom he was married on December 9, 1967; two children, Will Riley and wife Lisa, and Melanie Mayne and husband Johnny, all of Oakland; three grandchildren, Luke Riley, Tailor Mayne and boyfriend Devon, and Hannah Mayne and fiance Bo; two siblings, Reece Riley and wife Yvonne, and Robert Riley and wife Karla; and a sister in law, Shirley Riley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Audley Riley, Jr., Royce Riley, and Sandra Riley.

Mr. Riley's request for cremation was honored. A celebration of life will be held on July 6, 2024, at 1 PM, at the Southern Rescue Squad where military honors will be accorded.
