Denise Lohr

Denise Ann (Clatterbuck) Lohr, 46, of Deer Park, MD, passed away Monday, March 21, 2011 in Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Born September 29, 1964 in Oakland, MD, she was the daughter of the late, William and Corann (Ashby) Clatterbuck

Surviving are: husband Ben Lohr; son Benny; in-laws Dave and Susie Lohr; sister and brother in-law DeAnn and Mike Hotchkiss; brother, Brian (Buck) sisters Deb and Mary (Weese) Clatterbuck, niece Angel Fuller, nephews Dillon James, Christopher Clatterbuck and Zachery Hotchkiss, great nephew Joseph Fuller, Aunt and Uncle Mary Jo and Dee Ashburn and numerous cousins.

DeeDee was the owner/operator of Happy Healthy Horses, volunteered as the Animal Control Officer for the Garrett County Humane Society, volunteered for HART and was a Daughter of the Legionnaires. She was an avid horse trainer and the proud "Mama" of Sadie Lu, Bo, Fuzzbutt, Beast, CiCi and Cowboy. She was a race widow to Team 96, Swampcreek Racing.

DeeDee will be sorely missed by family, friends and the animal community of Garrett County.

The family (and DeeDee) requests that donations be made in her name to the Garrett County Humane Society (5887 Maryland Hwy, Oakland, MD 21550) in lieu of flowers. Contributions are being accepted at Burdock Funeral Home or Gregg's Pharmacy and their drive thru.

21 N. 2nd Street, Oakland, MD, on Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m, Thursday, March 24, 2011 in the funeral

home chapel with the Rev. Joe Brown officiating.
