Debra Ann (Sypolt) Gower, 61, of Terra Alta, entered into Heaven on August 15, 2024, at Garrett Regional Medical Center. Born on March 6,1963, in Terra Alta, she was the daughter of the late Edgar D. and Betty Jane (Kempher) Sypolt.

She graduated from East Preston Sr High School in 1981. On July 11, 2009, Debbie married the love of her life, William Ray Gower who survives. Debbie attended both Trinity United Methodist in Terra Alta, and most recently, Corinth United Methodist Church. Known to many as Aunt Debbie, she was loved and will be missed by many friends whom she called family. Debbie, being the baby of the family, was always a kid at heart! She loved Christmas most of all and would always be up before dawn to celebrate on Christmas Day. Debbie was an amazing cook and loved entertaining family and friends. Debbie worked for many years at Thomas's Big Key and IGA in Terra Alta and Browning's Foodland in Oakland.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three brothers, Charles Sypolt and wife Linda of Albright, Robert Sypolt of Terra Alta, and David Sypolt and wife Lisa of Eglon; three brothers in law, Edwin D. Smith, Eddie Felton, and Robert Gower; Mother in law, Maxine Gower; a special "daughter" Jessica Warnick and her children Terron and Gavin; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Jane Smith, Mary Ann Felton, and Helen Louise Terry; a nephew, Timothy Smith; and her father in law, William Gower.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Garrett County PO Box 271 Oakland, MD 21550, Corinth United Methodist Church 1442 Freeport Road Terra Alta, WV 26764 or a charity of choice in Debbie's name.

Friends will be received on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 10 to 11 AM at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Eric Beeman and Pastor Carl Fike officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
