Debera Martin

Debera Jane Martin, 67, of Rowlesburg, WV, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on August 24, 2023. Born on September 20, 1955, she was the daughter of the late June and Jane (Faulkner) Hershman.

Debera was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Family was the most important thing in her life, and she would always go above and beyond to show how much she loved and cared for her family. She was selfless and had a huge heart. She enjoyed quilting and crafting. Debera absolutely loved the beach and motorcycle rides with her husband. She was a huge support for many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Debera is survived by her husband of 48 years, Thomas Martin; a daughter, Sheena Nicholson and husband Travis; a niece, Kayla Teets, who was like a second daughter to her; two grandchildren, Logan and Julianna, and their mother, Carrie Lemley; a sister-in-law, Sue Mayne; three siblings, Arlene, Mark, and Bob; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jason Martin, and a brother, Jim Hershman.

Friends will be received on Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 3 to 5 PM, at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, 567 Thomas Ave., Davis. A funeral service will be conducted at 5 PM, in the funeral home, with Rev. Mike Lantz officiating. Following the funeral service, Debera's request for cremation will be honored.
