David Ray Shillingburg, 34, of Oakland died Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the result of a tragic accident. Born November 18, 1977 in Oakland, he was the son of Ray E. and Linda Sue (Uphold) Shillingburg.
David served in the US Army and was employed by All Seasons Contracting of Oakland as a carpenter. He was deeply loved and will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children whom he loved dearly, Destiny (Shillingburg) White and Victor Slaubaugh; companion, Deanna Slaubaugh; sister, Jennifer Marrie Shillingburg; and maternal grandmother, Naomi R. Uphold. He was preceded in death a sister, Sherry Ann Shillingburg; maternal grandfather, Trumen E. Uphold; and paternal grandparents, Lloyd Norman and Anna Belle (DeCost) Shillingburg.
Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd St., Oakland, MD on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Billy Foster officiating.
Interment will follow in Deer Park Cemetery with military honors accorded by Deep Park VFW Post # 10077 and the American Legion Proctor Kildow Post #71 of Oakland.
