David Paul Longacre, 71, of Mt. Lake Park, MD died on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on August 30, 1944 in Sellersville, PA, David was the son of the late Paul M. and Shirley E. (Mayberry) Longacre. David was a man who loved his family and his dairy farm. He actively participated in Future Farmers of America and 4-H while in high school and through out his children's school years. He was also a member of the Young Farmers Association, the East Greenville, PA chapter of the Jaycees, the National Rifle Association and the Holstein Association of Pennsylvania where he also served as president. David took pride in his work on the farm as his cows produced milk that won several awards for the highest milk production and highest milk fat content in Montgomery county. He was also a member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church. David's passion for agriculture came second only to his love for his wife and family as they created many wonderful memories together over the years on the farm. David is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia F. (Maziarz) Longacre; four children, Ronald P. Longacre and wife Ruby of Oakland, MD, Pamela M. Parker and husband Ken of FL, Vickie A. Longacre of Slatington, PA and Denise M. Lee and husband Shannon of Swanton, MD; eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers; two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a son, Stanley M. Longacre.
