David J. Kutchman, 59, of Oakland died on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at his home. Born on February 5, 1953 in Barnesboro, PA, he was the son of the late George and Wanda Rose (Nycek) Kutchman. He worked as a coal mine safety inspector and was a member of the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Proctor Kildow Post #71 in Oakland, was an avid collector of coins and baseball cards, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by a sister, Sharon Hazelwood and husband Dr. G. Fred Hazelwood of Oakland; two brothers, Richard Kutchman of Oakland and George Kutchman and wife Leslie of Buchanan, VA; and a number of nieces and nephews. A private family interment service will be held in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens with Rev. Donald Parson officiating. The Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland is handling the arrangements.
