Daniel Dwight Bray, 72, of Oakland and Kitzmiller died on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at his home. Born on Friday, March 3, 1950, in Vindex, he was the son of the late Albert L. and Nellie Emma (Knox) Bray.
Danny retired from Bausch & Lomb. After his retirement, he worked at Garrett Containers. He attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Oakland. Danny was a veteran having served in U.S. Army National Guard.
He is survived by two sons, Daniel Dwight Bray, Jr. and wife Cheri of Kitzmiller and Blake Daniel Bray of Bittinger and his mother Janet Synder; four brothers, Ronald Bray and wife Louise of Kitzmiller, Garry Bray and wife Becky of Bloomington, Carl Bray of Kitzmiller, and Donnie Bray of Oakland; two sisters, Betty Barrick and husband Jim and Marcia Moore and husband Jim, both of Mtn. Lake Park; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roscoe Wayne Bray, and a sister, Linda L. Bray.
Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 3 to 6 PM and on Monday, October 3, 2022, from 10 to 11 AM at which time a funeral service will be held in the funeral home with Pastor Carl Fike and Rev. Dr. Matthew Paugh officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Swanton, with military honors by the combined honor guard from American Legion Proctor Kildow Post 71 and Deer Park V.F.W. Post 10077.
