Cristine Ada Kepple, 48, of Oakland died on Monday, September 7, 2015. Born on December 7, 1966 in Greensburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard Richard Jr. and Bernice Ann (Walters) Kepple. She was a graduate of the University of Maryland, from which she received a Bachelor of Science Degree and received her Juris Doctorate Degree from West Virginia University. Criss was an attorney and Managing Principal of Kepple Law Firm, P.A. in Oakland. She gave freely of her time and energy to her community. She was chairperson of the Garrett County Development Corporation for 20 years, a member of the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce, member of the Garrett College Foundation Board of Directors and a life-long member of the Maryland Farm Bureau. Criss was a former Garrett County Agricultural Fair Queen. She loved farming and caring for her horses. She was diligent in battling Lyme Disease. She is survived by two brothers, Michael C. Kepple and wife Janet of Oakland and Timothy H. Kepple of Albuquerque, NM; sister of the heart, Heidi Qualls and husband John of Oakland; two nephews, Cole and Kyle Kepple; Heidi's and John's children, Morgan and Mason Qualls; and two step-sons, Austin Hall and partner, Trisha Feeney of Hendersonville, NC and Jon-Michael Hall of Jacksonville Beach, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard A. Hall, in November 2014. A memorial service will be held in the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Saturday, September 19th at 1:30 PM. Friends will be received from 12 to 1:30 PM just prior to the service. According to her wishes, Criss's ashes will be scattered on the Kepple-Hall Farm in the same manner as those of her husband. In lieu of flowers, she requested that memorial donations be made to the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society, PO Box 341461, Bethesda, MD 20827.
