Cora Susan Robinette, 85, of Oakland died on Friday, February 15, 2019, at her home. Born on May 22, 1933, in Nitro, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ola (Maxwell) Bird. She was a member of the Mt. Top Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was a self-made business woman, who excelled in sewing and jewelry-making; she served as a role model for others to pursue their interests. In her early years, she was active in emergency services and disaster relief, helping flood victims and others who were in need for any reason. She was proud to have been a Girl Scout and continuing to exhibit their values throughout her life as she cared deeply for others. She is survived by her children, Frank Robinette, Jr. of Oakland, Gregory Robinette and wife Sandy of Aurora, WV, Diane Kuhn and husband Dennis of Oakland, Cathy Gray and husband Robert of Utah, and Debora Robinette of Oakland; twelve grandchildren; and thirty great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Wilmer Robinette, Sr.; a son, Randall Steven Robinette; a daughter, Linda Lou Robinette; and a grandson, Wesley Steven Robinette. Private services will be held followed by interment in the Bayard Cemetery, Bayard, WV. The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland has been entrusted with arrangements.
