Cora Anna Brantner, 85, of Pinellas Park, FL received her "Promotion to Glory" in the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Suncoast Hospice Care Center. Born on November 27, 1927 in Antis Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert G. Bryan and Evangeline B. (Gensler) Michaels. She was an active member of the Salvation Army Church in St. Petersburg, Fl. Cora always had a pleasant smile and a willingness to help in any situation. She had worked for the Boyer Candy Company in Altoona, PA, the Heinz Company in Pittsburgh, PA and the Carrigg Manor Nursing Home in Bamberg, SC. She is survived by her son, David Brantner of Walterboro, SC; grandson, David Allen Brantner of New Martinsville, WV; granddaughter, Kathleen Brantner of Columbia, SC; and six sisters, Betty Jeirles of Lock Haven, PA, Beatrice Hoffman of St. Petersburgh, FL, Edith Hayes of New Castle, DE, Major Ruby Zanders of Surfside Beach, SC, Della Michaels and Phyllis Raymer, both of Pinellas Park, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David M. Brantner, Sr., in 2002 and nine siblings. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church St., Kitzmiller, MD on Wednesday, November 13th from 10 AM to 12 Noon at which time a funeral service will be held. Interment will follow in the Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden, WV.
