Connie Uphold

Connie Sue Uphold, 70, of Mount Storm, WV, passed away at her home on October 19, 2022, surrounded by her family. Born on January 23, 1952, in Kingwood, WV, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert Clarence and Anna Mae (Edmond) Wolfe.

Connie attended Tunnelton High School. She worked for Cuppett & Weeks Nursing home as a CNA. She enjoyed crocheting, reading magazines and gardening. She loved spending time with her family and furry babies.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Rodger Lee Uphold, Sr., to whom she was married on July 1, 1967; four children, Penny Knox and husband Kenneth of Oakland, MD, Roger Uphold, Jr. and wife Samantha of Old Fields, WV, Sandra Whitacre and husband Timothy of Mount Storm, WV, and Malinda Walden and husband James of Mount Storm, WV; five grandchildren, Kenneth Knox III, Roger Uphold III, Brooke Uphold, Hailee Whitacre, Conner Whitacre and Kiara Walden; a great-grandson, Westyn Harris; and four siblings, Shirley Jackson and husband Robert of Kingwood, WV, Larry Wolfe and wife Lai of Pensacola, FL, Allen Wolfe of Tunnelton, WV and Sandra Miller of Newburg, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Uphold; a grandson, Ryan Uphold; a great granddaughter, Seneca Harris; two brothers, Donald Wolfe and Homer Wolfe.

Friends will be received Friday, October 21, 2022, from 5 to 8 PM at C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St. Oakland. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, October 22, 2022, in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Matthew Paugh officiating. Interment will follow in the Sand Spring Cemetery, Friendsville, MD. The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Uphold family at this time.
