Cody Johnson

Cody Dale Johnson, age 33, of Oakland, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at his residence.  Born on February 17, 1988 in Morgantown, WV, he is the son of Thomas and Brenda Johnson of Reedsville, WV.

Cody was a graduate of Preston County High School and West Virginia University.  He was employed by Brayman Construction as an equipment operator and was a member of the Laborers Local Union #379 and #66.  Cody loved spending quality time with his son and his family.  He enjoyed riding his Harley Davison motorcycle and being outdoors.

In addition to his parents, Cody is survived by his wife, Ashley N. (Gordon) Johnson; a son, Will; a baby girl on-the-way, Reese; a sister, Mallory Benson and fiancé Chad Whitescarver; a niece, Natalie; nephews, Carson and Thad; father-in-law, Billy Gordon and wife Missy of Kingwood; mother-in-law, Jodi Smith and husband Tommy of Oakland; brother-in-law, Ryan Gordon and partner Brittany Lockard of Morgantown; sisters-in-law, Amber Gordon of Morgantown and Megan Smith of Oakland; a brother-in-law, Anthony Smith; and a step brother-in-law, Cade Wolfe.

Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Tom Strahin officiating.
