Clara Catherine Weeks, 91 of Oakland, MD, died Monday, August 2, 2010, at her residence.
Born January 29, 1919 in Gorman, MD . She was the daughter of the late Errice and Mary (Moon) Liller. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hamilton Weeks, her son Ralph Weeks, Jr., and brother, Clyde Liller.
Clara was a homemaker and a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church.
She is also survived by one son, Randy Weeks and wife, Sue of Oakland, MD, daughter Kay Edwards and husband Richard of Swanton, MD, one brother, Ralph (Gene) Liller, two sisters, Lucinda Shaffer and Bertha Thayer, all of Oakland, MD. Six grandchildren seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren..
The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland, MD on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services are Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Deep Creek Baptist Church with the Reverends Donald Wilson and Ben Lahay officiating. The interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Garrett County or Deep Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.
