Charles French Stinson, 60, of Oakland died on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at his home. Born on September 1, 1955 in Farmington, NM, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Jennie (Martinez) Stinson. He was a graduate of Southern Garrett High School and had attended West Virginia University. He had retired as an oil driller and was co-owner of Stinson's Power Tong Service. In addition to spending time with his family and friends, he enjoyed sports and was a very talented artist. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Oakland. He is survived by two children, Cassandra Beth Permenter and Chas Stinson; a granddaughter, Jayda Permenter; two sisters, Sandra Stinson and Irene Fickes; and two brothers, Ken and Calvin Stinson. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Sunday, October 25th from 1 to 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
