Charles Paugh

Charles H. "John" Paugh, 81, of Mt. Storm, WV died on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital in Oakland. Born on April 1, 1932 in Oakmont, WV, he was the son of the late Harry and Lessie (Sherwood) Paugh. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War and was retired from General Motors in Baltimore. He is survived by his wife Clellie M. (Cosner) Paugh; a son, Harry C. Paugh; a daughter, Cheryl L. Shillingburg; stepsons, Irwin T. VanMeter, George A. VanMeter, Keith H. VanMeter, and Delbert L. VanMeter; stepdaughters, Beverly L. Hipp, Victoria L. Likin, June M. Welding and Sharon L. Flesher; a brother, Bernard L. "Wrang" Paugh; sisters, Betty L. Miller and Gladys F. "Susie" Tichinel; and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Karen J. Jeffery; brothers, Francis Carl "Jim" Paugh and Kenneth Paugh; and a sister, Ethel Bonner. A memorial service will be held in the Elk Garden Assembly of God on Sunday, April 21st at 2 PM with Rev. Shawn McDowell, Rev. Don Marple and Rev. Joe Tichinel co-officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Kitzmiller has been entrusted with the arrangements.
