Charles E. Kifer, 62, of Oakland passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019, at his home. He was born on April 25, 1956, in Oakland and was the son of the late Charles W. and Grace Alberta (Oates) Kifer. He had worked for Sterling Processing for 22 years. He had attended the Walnut Bottom Assembly of God. Charles enjoyed spending time with his friends that he had made at Mountain Haven and was an avid Steelers fan. He is survived by a brother, Roger Kifer of Oakland; five sisters, Betty Otto of Swanton, Donna Collins of Deer Park, Ruby Donham of Oakland, Patricia Tichinel of Meyersdale, PA, and Connie Sliger of Mtn. Lake Park; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Kifer. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Wednesday, January 23rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 24th at 11:00 AM in the Walnut Bottom Assembly of God with Pastor George H. Tichinel officiating. Interment will follow in the Turner Cemetery.
