Charles Grove

Charles W. "Corky" Grove, 81, of Oakland, MD, passed away on February 21, 2025, at River Oaks Healthcare in Clarksburg, WV. Born on October 8, 1943, in Frostburg, MD, he was the son of the late George Peter and Naomi (Wade) Grove.

After graduating Valley High School, he went on to serve his country in the United States Airforce. He worked for the United States Postal Service and later, started working for Snap-On Tools as a sales representative and field manager. Corky loved coaching the travel soccer teams, riding snowmobiles, spending weekends at the lake, water skiing, boating, and spending time with the Grove family.

He is survived by his three sons, Steve Grove and wife Christie, Shawn Grove, and Scott Grove; two grandchildren, Sophia and Landon Grove; and five siblings, Ed Grove and wife Pat, Wade Grove and wife Sis, Susie Tharp and husband George, Paula Grove Kerns, and Gayle Grove Schade and partner David.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy (Arnold) Grove.

Mr. Grove's request to be cremated was honored. There are no services scheduled at this time. There will be a celebration of his life this summer at the lake with a Buckwheat Cake Breakfast. The family will keep everyone informed.
