Charlene Knox

Charlene A. Knox, 70, of Oakland died on Sunday, July 22, 2018, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.  Born on March 8, 1948, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Evelyn M. (Winebrenner) Troutman. Charlene was known as “Mom” to all and will be lovingly remembered for taking excellent care of everyone.  She was proud of her family.  In addition to spending time with her loved ones, she enjoyed gardening, flowers and shopping.  She is survived by her children, Kenneth Ray Knox, Jr. and wife Penny, Sandra “Sissy” Calling and husband Melvin and Mary Parrish and husband Ronald; grandchildren, David Ruby, William Schmidl, Micheal Schmidl, John Knox, Sheena, Kayla Spurling, Bryson Knox, Brett Sanders, Kenneth Ray Knox III, Amanda Wilburn, Carrie Ashby, Vanessa Calling, Marlysse Calling and Andrew Parrish; numerous great grandchildren; a brother, Roy Troutman; a sister, Carol Tichnell; and two special nieces, Candy and husband Wayne Welch and Dee Dunbar.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Knox, Sr.; a daughter, Lisa Knox; a son, Brian Knox; a sister, Cecilia and brother, John.  Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, from 5 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at 11 AM with Pastor Matthew Paugh officiating.  Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
