Celia Kathleen O'Brien, 95, of Oakland died on Monday, February 4, 2013 at her home. Born on March 10, 1917 in Swanton, she was the daughter of the late Troxell and Mary Myrtle (Hoopengarner) Tichnell. She was a homemaker and member of the New Life Christian Church. She is survived by three sons, Raymond O'Brien of Seville, OH, Joseph H. O'Brien, Jr. and Charles O'Brien, both of Terra Alta; five daughters, Helen (Heath) Harsh, Mary O'Brien, W. Sue O'Brien and Janice L. Winebrenner, all of Oakland and Eleanor Craft of Dillwyn, VA; four sisters, Avanelle Virts of Swanton, Norma Hamilton and Jane Borror of Keyser, and Wilma Lahman of Portage, MI; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. O'Brien in 1983 and two brothers, Hershell and Lewis Tichnell. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A, 21 N 2nd St, Oakland, on Thursday, February 7th from 4 to 7 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 8th at 11 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Roger Kitzmiller officiating. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Southern Garrett County Rescue Squad, PO Box 378, Oakland, MD 21550 or Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
