Cecil McCloud

Cecil Joseph McCloud, 80 of Kitzmiller, MD, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Oakland Nursing & Rehab Center.
Born September 25, 1930 in Blaine, WV, he was the son of the late John Henry & Jessie Belle (Kirby) McCloud. He was also preceded in death by brothers-Lee Roy McCloud, Gene Gibson McCloud and Gerald McCloud; sisters-Sarah McCafferty, Margaret McCloud, Loretta Smith, Hazel Smith and Christina Smith.
Cecil was a veteran having served with the United States Army, Military Police. He retired from Patutxent Institute, Baltimore, MD as a correctional officer after 36 years of service, was a member of the National Rifle Association and Oakland American Legion.
Surviving are: wife-Betty Lou (Stewart) McCloud; son-Larry Joseph McCloud, Baltimore, MD; sister-Flossie Conley, Mt. Lake Park, MD; grandson-Andy McCloud and two great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 710 Church Street, Kitzmiller, MD from 2-4 p.m.& 6-8 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2011.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, April 3, 2011 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lee Robertson officiating.
Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery.
Military service will be accorded at graveside.
