Catharine Rodeheaver

Catharine Elizabeth Rodeheaver, 74, of Deer Park died on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at her residence. Born on November 14, 1941 in Deer Park, Catharine was the daughter of Leslie H. and Melva Marie (Reis) Rodeheaver. Catharine was a graduate of Southern High School, class of 1959. She worked as a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for over 30 years serving the Deer Park, Mt. Lake Park and Oakland areas. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene where she taught kindergarten Sunday school and sang in the choir. More recently, she attended Faith Evangelical Free Church. Catharine enjoyed working in the garden and tending to her flowers. She was an avid reader and shared her books with family and friends. She enjoyed participating in her high school band and at church playing the baritone horn. She loved her pets, Daisy and Zeeb. Catharine is survived by her brother, Reuben Rodeheaver and wife Jan of San Diego, CA; her sister, Lois Ford and husband David of Accident; nieces, Melodie (Ford) Nollenberger of Houston, TX, Tonya (Rodeheaver) Bellavia of Buffalo, NY and Heather Gallardo of San Diego, CA; nephews, Scott Rodeheaver of Cross Lanes, WV, Mike Rodeheaver of Burlington, WV, Tim Ford of Sykesville, MD, Steve Rodeheaver and wife Vonda, Rudy Rodeheaver and Brad Rodeheaver, all of San Diego, CA; and a sister-in-law, Verna Rodeheaver. In addition to her parents, Catharine was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Glenn Rodeheaver. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Monday, May 30, 2016 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Sam Moore and Rev. Steve Rodeheaver officiating. Interment will follow in Deer Park Cemetery.
