Carolyn “Robin” Simms, 58, of Mtn. Lake Park died on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at her home. Born on March 10, 1960 in Oakland, she was the daughter of Robert Moore of Deer Park and Carolyn E. (Liller) Riley of Oakland. Robin was protestant by faith. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of her mother. Robin also enjoyed watching movies and had a deep affection for horses. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her stepmother, Dixie Moore; her stepfather, Donald Riley; her son, Thomas Simms of Mtn. Lake Park; beloved grandchildren, Nathaniel Simms and Gabrielle Valentine; brothers and sister, Robert I. Moore and wife Barbara of Kitzmiller, Charles J. Moore of Mtn. Lake Park, Jill Hammond of Austin, TX, Lori Gregory and husband Jay of Oakland, Tracy Riley and wife Wilda of Bruceton Mills, WV, and Chasidy Brown and Roger Lee of Oakland; a special friend, Linda Fazenbaker of McHenry; and many nieces and nephews who loved her very much. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the Oak Park Church of the Brethren on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at 11 AM with Pastor Carl Fike officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oak Park Church of the Brethren, Missions Trips, 110 Church Lane, Oakland, MD 21550.
