Carolyn Elwanda Riley, 77, of Oakland, died on Saturday, June 29, 2019, in the comfort of her home. Born on December 2, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Irven Abraham and Eleanor Jane (Zimmerman) Liller. Carolyn was a graduate of Southern High School and was a homemaker throughout her life. She was a member of Shady Dell Church as well as the Oak Park Church of the Brethren. Some of her favorite activities included reading her Bible, working jigsaw puzzles, planning family reunions and creating Halloween costumes. She was known as the family tailor as well as their prayer warrior. Carolyn mostly enjoyed the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Donald Riley; children, Bob Moore and wife Barb of Kitzmiller, Charlie Moore of Mt. Lake Park; stepchildren, Lori Gregory and husband Jay of Oakland, Tracy Riley and wife Wilda of Hazelton, and Chasidy Brown and husband Roger of Oakland; grandchildren, Jessica Morris and husband Richard of Accident, Jamie Yommer and husband Brian of Oakland, Tommy Simms of Mt. Lake Park, Ryan Chevalier of New Mexico, Jeremy and Tyler Gregory of Oakland, TJ Riley of Friendsville, Travis Riley, Tori Linton, Jesse and Jamie Friend, Kalendra Friend, Rachel Lantz, and Seth Friend, all of Oakland; her siblings, Delbert Liller and wife Pat of Oakland, Larry Liller of Oakland, and Douglas Liller and wife Diana of Wyoming. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Simms in 2018. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland, on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 from 2 to 4PM and 6 to 8PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the Oak Park Church of the Brethren, 110 Church Lane, Oakland, on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at 10AM with Pastor Carl Fike officiating. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. The family would like to extend a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to the staff of the MICU at WVU Hospitals as well as Dr. Shannon at Garrett Regional Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, Carolyn’s family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Garrett County.
