Carolyn Ruth Beckman, 73, of Oakland went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home. Born on August 27, 1942 in Mt. Lake Park, she was the daughter of the late Harry Clinton, Sr. and Ruth Delphina (Shipley) Turney. She was a 1961 graduate of Southern Garrett County High School. For 15 years, she drove a school bus in Garrett County and was lovingly known by her CB handle "Honey Bee". Carolyn enjoyed caring for others, especially her family, and had, at one time, aspirations of becoming a nurse. She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Sue Sanders and husband Timothy and Krystal Anne Lewis and husband Mark A.; a son, Kevin Lynn Beckman and wife Tammy; grandchildren, Wendy Beckman Rodeheaver and partner Sean Moats, Kody Wayne Sanders and fiancAC.e Heather Vincent, Morgan Elizabeth Sanders and partner Michael Welch, Kameron Michel Sanders and Emma Nikole Lewis; and four great grandchildren, Brody Michael Welch, Landon Rodeheaver, Lyric Moats and Tessa Moats. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tara Lynn Tasker and two infant great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Tuesday, June 28th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, June 29th at 11 AM with Pastor Dave Marsh officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Garrett County, PO Box 271, Oakland, MD 21550 or Cindy's Fund, PO Box 182, Oakland, MD 21550.
