Caroline Pase

Caroline Ester (Ashby) Pase, 93, passed away on December 9, 2024, at her daughter's home in Tall Timbers, MD, surrounded by her family. Born on August 01, 1931, on the Ashby farm in Crellin, MD, she was the daughter of the late Dorsey Thayer of Crellin and Susan Vera (Myers) Ashby of Friendsville.

A kind and gentle soul she never put her needs above others. Her greatest gift and joy in life was to love her husband of 50 plus years. The love and care for her family was her life's goal. To share with them the Christian faith that was hers and her father's and their father's fathers was the foundation of her being. In this she did an excellent job. She is now in the presence of our Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Quentin Wayne Pase of Thomas; Her father and mother law, Carl and Hallie (Baker) Pase of Thomas; and her four siblings, Lillian Mersing and husband Elmer, Dorsey Ashby Jr., and wife Evelyn Kootz, Walter Ashby, Sue Evans and husband Earl, Joe Ashby and wife Phyllis Willard

She is survived by her four children, Lana, Wayne, Cheryl, and Robin. They enjoyed the blessing of eleven grandchildren and she held and loved each of her twenty-two great grandchildren.

In lieu of gifts or flowers, she would ask you to love God and one another. Caroline would ask you to enjoy Christmas and be kind. She loved Christmas.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Crellin United Methodist Church with Pastor Barbara Rexroad officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery where she will be laid to rest bedside her beloved husband, surrounded by her family.
