Carl "Bear" McDonald

Carl “Bear” Kevin McDonald, 64, of Bayard, West Virginia passed away August 16, 2020 at Cortland Acres in Thomas, West Virginia. He was born July 17, 1956 in Oakland, Maryland, the son of the late Carl Mason and Nettie Alice (Gay) McDonald.

He is survived by three sisters, Shelby Duckett and husband Jerry of Terra Alta, West Virginia, Sue Reall of Oakland, Maryland, and Gerry Nasser and husband Mike of Westernport, Maryland, along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn McDonald.

Bear enjoyed being by himself, spending time in the woods. He loved to hunt, fish, and cut firewood for the winter. He was very proud of his cabin that he built where he originated all of his practical jokes. He was known for his kindness and friendliness.
