Burrell Virgil Kimmell, 79 of Oakland, MD and New Carlisle, OH died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital.
Born May 4, 1931 in Deer Park, MD he was the son of the late George Wallace and Nellie Celeste (Jordan) Kimmell. He was also preceded in death by his son Thomas Lee Kimmell; by brothers George, Gene, Russ; and by sisters Pauline & Marie.
Mr. Kimmell retired after 40 years as a Machinist for Taylor Manufacturing in Ohio. He was a collector of antique cars, coins and loved music.
Surviving are his wife F. Elaine (DeLong) Kimmell of Oakland & New Carlisle; sons, Gerald Edward Kimmell of Oakland, Roger Eugene Kimmell of Donnelsville, OH, Michael Burrell Kimmell of New Carlisle, OH, George A. Kimmell of Deer Park; daughters, Beverly Sue Hinton of Oakland, Debra Elaine Jennings of Urbana, OH, Shirley Jean Kimmell of Oakland, Cindy Lou Kimmell of Deer Park, Nancy Lea Lyden of Springfield, OH; grandchildren that were adopted by Burrell and Elaine, Jessie Jo Demewood and Shannon Nicole Kimmell, both of Springfield, OH; grandchildren, Starr, Kameko, Cory, Danielle, Lindsey, Casey, Kyle, Kalie, Ashley, Chelsey, Maura; 15 great grandchildren; special companion & friend, his dog Frosty.
The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St.., Oakland, MD on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday.
A memorial service will also be held in Ohio at a later date.
