Bryan Keith Sharpless, 31, of Oakland died on Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Garrett County Memorial Hospital. Born on October 17, 1983 in Oakland, he was the son of Glenn and Diana (Elliott) Sharpless of Oakland. He worked as a greeter at Walmart and attended the Loch Lynn Church of God. Bryan loved the New England Patriots and was known for his contagious smile and his ability to "joke around" with everyone. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Daniel Sharpless and wife Amy, Kari Hugel and Chad Burawa, Pastors Krystal Shreve and husband James, Barry Sharpless and wife Myrna, Jimmy Sharpless and wife Amy, Deanna McNeil and husband Aaron, Esther Nicole Sharpless, Ashley Edge, Cheyne Sharpless, Kristi Sharpless and Krista Beiler; special sisters, Dora Kitzmiller and Jackie Funkhouser; grandmother, Charlotte Gross; seventeen nieces and nephews; and the loving staff of Appalachian Crossroads. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Duane Elliott; paternal grandparents, Janice and Lynwood Sharpless; and an uncle, Bryan "Mark" Elliott. Friends will be received at the Loch Lynn Church of God on Tuesday, November 25th from 5 to 8 PM and on Wednesday, November 26th from 10 to 11 AM after which time a funeral service will be held in the church with Pastors Ivan and Cindy Ackerman officiating. Private interment will be in the Sharpless Family Cemetery, Gorman Road, Oakland. The Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland has been entrusted with the arrangements.
