Bruce Warsaw

Bruce Alan Warsaw, I, 63, of Oakland died on Thursday, September 26, 2013 in a tragic accident on his farm. Born on November 28, 1949 in Oakland, he was the son of the late Boyd M. and Lucy E. (Baer) Warsaw. He was both a farmer and school bus driver, who exhibited endless patience with children and greatly enjoyed spending time with them. Bruce never met a stranger and was described as a wonderful neighbor. In addition to his family, friends and farm, he also had a fondness for his Allis Chalmers tractors. He is survived by his son, Bruce Warsaw, II and girlfriend April Teets; daughter, Michaela Warsaw and boyfriend Joey Moyer; a grandson, Braxton Warsaw; former wife and best friend, Cindy Earlene Kitzmiller; his sidekick, Bud Sisler; a sister, Barbara Ann (Warsaw) Bachtel; nephews, Gary A. Bachtel and wife Debbie, Gayle A. Bachtel and friend Peggy Jamison, Carroll V. Bachtel and friend Susan Frickie, Ricky Bachtel and wife Tracey, Randy Bachtel and wife Susan, Scott Lewis and wife Wendy, Mark Lewis and wife Krystal, Bryan Watts and wife Rose, Waylon Kitzmiller and wife Vanessa, Rick and Susan Shrout and Mike Shrout; nieces, Becky Michaels and husband Robbie and Billie Jane Wiltison and husband Cris; and a number of great and great-great nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Madison Hope Warsaw and a brother in law, Harold "Buzz" Bachtel. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Tuesday, October 1st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and at the Fairview Church of the Brethren on Wednesday, October 2nd from 10 to 11 AM at which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Sam Moon officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
