Brenda Lea Martin, 55, of Jacksonville, FL, formerly of Waynesboro, PA died on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring in Jacksonville. Born on May 25, 1959 in Leesburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Franklin and Anne Francis (Wilson) Allder. She was a 1977 graduate of Loudon County High School in VA. Brenda worked in civil service for over 30 years. She began working as a clerk/typist and then was selected into a procurement internship program at Fort Ritchie, MD. Her last position at Fort Ritchie was working for TAO and, for the last 20 years, served as a contract specialist with the United States Army Corps of Engineers in Jacksonville. She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Fredlock and husband Michael of Martinsburg, WV; a grandson, Jacob Fredlock; two sisters, JoAnn Gianfagna and Terry Schaible; a brother, Eddie Allder; best friend and companion "Little Bit"; and many, many friends who were like family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin "Eddie" Ebersole, in 2007. A memorial service in the Jacksonville National Cemetery will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 1 PM with a Celebration of Life to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring, Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257.
