Bobby Stewart, Sr

Bobby Lee Stewart, Sr., 84, of Kitzmiller, died on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at his home.  Born on September 8, 1932 in Blaine, WV, he was the son of the late George and Gladys (Lyons) Stewart.  Bobby attended Elk Garden School.  He worked for Island Creek Coal Company and Consol Energy as an underground miner from 1966-1994.  He was a member of the Kitzmiller Volunteer Fire Department and the United Mine Workers Union Local #1444.  He enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing bingo and deer hunting with his family and friends.  Bobby is survived by his children, Wendy Moon and husband Darvin of Oakland, Gerald Stewart of Kitzmiller, George Stewart and girlfriend Marsha Broadwater of Barton.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol (Tanner) Stewart; a son, Bobby Lee Stewart, Jr.; his siblings, Harold Stewart and wife Earnestine, Margaret Sims and husband Mervin and Betty McCloud and husband Cecil.  Friends will be received at the C & S FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 710 Church Street, Kitzmiller, MD on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Matthew Paugh officiating.  Interment will immediately follow in I.O.O.F.
