Bobby Harsh

Bobby Leroy Harsh, 80, of Eglon, WV passed away Monday afternoon, April 25, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 30, 1935, on the Harsh farm, son of Walter Wade and Nellie Mae (Kitzmiller) Harsh. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Carl Jackson Harsh and Earl Wade Harsh, and two sisters, Delores Jean Harsh, and Blanche Lorraine (Harsh) Snyder. Bobby married Carolyn Lucille (Sell) on June 17, 1967. They spent those 49 years together, raising kids, grandkids, running the farm, and being a help to others in the community. Bobby worked at Sanders Motor Freight in Oakland, MD, as a coal miner for 6 years and foreman on the B&O Railroad Oakland Station for 26 years and also worked the large family farm in Eglon, WV. He enjoyed family, deer hunting, fishing, and farming, especially the buffalo. Bobby is survived by his devoted wife, Carolyn; five children, Sue Ellen (Michael) Saunders, Robert Steven (Tina) Harsh, Judith Meryle (Rodney) Stemple, Diane Mae (Harlin) Wolfe, William Scott (Lyvonne) Harsh, 13 grandchildren, Stacey Renee Hinebaugh, Philson Dorn (Gina) Hinebaugh II, Dawn Denise Hinebaugh, Elizabeth Jane (Rusty) Otto, Amy Lynn (Richard) Moats, Aaron Wade (Nicole) Harsh, Katrina Marie Harsh, Rodney Allen (Christie) Stemple, Randy Blaine Stemple, Harlin Zachary Wolfe, Madison Hunter Watts, Megan Kay Harsh, and Evan Scott Harsh; 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Keith Richard (Ann) Harsh, and 1 sister, Ellen Mae Zimmerman; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday, April 27, from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the Aurora United Methodist Memorial Building, 24160 George Washington Hwy, Aurora, WV. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 28, at the Aurora United Methodist Memorial Building with Rev. Shaun Roberts and Rev. Wally Weeks officiating. Interment will follow in Accident Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Kidz at the Grove Youth Group C/O Maple Grove Assembly of God Church 685 Accident Road Eglon, WV 26716.
