Betty Sponaugle

Betty Arletta Sponaugle, 77, of Davis, WV passed away February 1, 2012 at her home.
She was born January 28, 1935 at Jordan Run, WV a daughter of the late Andrew Christan and Nora Mae Goldizen Rohrbaugh. Survivors include 2 sons; Franklin Andrew Sponaugle, Rockville, MD, Timothy Alan and companion Ellen Sponaugle, Accokeek, MD, 1 step-daughter; Janet Sponaugle, FL, 1 granddaughter; Danielle Nicole Sponaugle and 1 step-grandson, Nicholai Sponaugle.
She was preceded in death by 1 step-son, Richard B. Sponaugle Jr., 3 brothers; Marvin, Brady and Elvin Rohrbaugh and 4 sisters; Rose McCabe, Bess Cooper, Grace McVicker and Beulah Lawrence. Betty was a retired G 13 government employee with the US Naval Electronics System Command Department. She was awarded many citations for outstanding service during her many years of employment. She was a member of the Community Bible Church of Davis. She enjoyed cooking for her family, making crafts, reading books and listening to gospel music. Friends will be received on Saturday February 4, 2012 at Hinkle Funeral Home from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Sunday February 5 at 3:00 PM at the Community Bible Church with Rev. John Callaway officiating. Interment will follow in the Wolford Chapel Cemetery, Dry Fork, WV. Hinkle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. hinklefuneralhome.com
