Betty Smith

Betty June Smith, 80, of Swanton, died on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Stonerise in Keyser, WV. Born on Sunday, January 25, 1942, in Kitzmiller, she was the daughter of the late Orval R. and Idabelle (Bernard) Tasker. Betty was a seamstress for Garrett Manufacturing up until her retirement. She is survived by a son, Michael Ray Smith and wife Natalie of Keyser; two twin granddaughters, Amber Leanne and Abbigail Renae Smith; a brother, Raymond "Buck" Tasker of Kitzmiller; and a sister, Rosemary Tasker of Kitzmiller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William "Bill" Tasker and a sister, Linda Pysell. A graveside service will be held in the Deer Park Cemetery on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 12:00 pm with the Rev. Dr. Matthew A. Paugh officiating.
