Bettina Summerfield

Bettina Ann Summerfield, 55, of Elkins, WV, peacefully passed away at her brother's home on May 11, 2023. Born on March 13, 1968, in Morgantown, WV, she was the daughter of the late Carl Ray Sr., and Barbara Ruth (Cosner) Summerfield.

Tina earned her GED from the Randolph County VoTech Center. She attended the Gospel Light Tabernacle Church in Elkins. She was an avid crossword puzzle solver. Tina would often go on vacation with her brother and sister-in-law, where she loved watching the sunrise, dolphins swimming in the ocean, eating blue crabs, and searching for shells and beach glass.

She is survived by her life long companion, Marshall Strawder; five siblings, Bobetta Presutti of Beverly, Carl Ray Summerfield Jr., and wife Debbi of Wardensville, Danny Eugene Summerfield of Elkins, Buddy Lynn Summerfield and companion Mia of Beverly, and Tammy Haden and husband Rick of Beverly; a very special nephew, whom Tina raised like her own son, Buddy Lynn Summerfield II; along with several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 10 AM to 12 noon at the Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, 567 Thomas Ave. Davis, WV 26260. A funeral service will be held at 12 PM with Pastor Roger Foster officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Storm Cemetery.
