Bertha Christine Kent , 79 of Mt. Lake Park, MD passed away at Excela LaTrobe Hospital, LaTrobe, PA, September 11, 2010.
Born January 30, 1931 in Vindex, MD, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Florence (Stewart) Stewart. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Kent, son Bobby Lee Kent and two infant children, fourteen brothers and sisters.
Bertha was a homemaker.
Surviving are: four sons: James Kent of Kitzmiller, Mike and Rick Kent of Oakland, Joe Kent of Deer Park, three daughters, Tammy Bowman and Sherry Brown of Oakland, Patsy Tasker of Swanton, one brother Sonny Stewart, Baltimore, MD, one sister, Bessie Stark, Baltimore, MD, eighteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren..
The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, 21 N. Second Street, Oakland, MD, on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.. with the Rev. Joe Tichinel officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
